Final Project Notebook Grading - Software Methodology

This is it! The last milestone for your project has arrived. This is where you get to wrap up your project and tie a nice bow around it.

This milestone is worth 50 points (out of 500 on the project). The points will be divided up as follows:

What kinds of things will I be looking for?

Complete and Consistent

  • Are the requirements document, acceptance test plan, user manual, and code up-to-date and consistent?
  • Points will be subtracted for unauthorized changes to the requirements or test plan.
  • Does the user manual include screen shots from the actual software?

Fitness for Purpose

  • Is the software useful for its intended purpose?
  • Does the implementation of your final requirements really yield software that is usable and useful?

Design Specification

  • Is the UML class diagram up-to-date? That is, does it match the actual classes that you have implemented, and show their relationships?
  • Have you noted which sequence diagrams are no longer relevant, or are out-of-date?

Project Web Site

  • Does your project web site have the latest version of every document?

Subversion

  • Does your subversion repository contain the version of the software that was used in the final acceptance test?

Time Sheets, Meeting Notes and Agendas

  • Do they exist?
  • Can I read them?
  • Do they appear to be complete? Particularly those since you first turned in the acceptance test plan.
