UCSC BME 220 Project Proposal

Protein Bioinformatics, Spring 2005

(Last Update: 11:53 PDT, 11 April 2005 )
Everyone in BME 220 needs to do a project this quarter. PhD students who are doing a protein-related lab rotation this quarter can use the project from their lab rotation. PhD students doing a non-protein-related lab rotation should do a mini-project for this class—a two-week project rather than a ten-week one. All other students should do a full project.

A written project proposal is due from each student by Thursday April 21, at the beginning of class. This proposal should be between one and five pages long. It should not be an echo of one of the project outlines on the project page, but should indicate that the student has done some thought on the project. The paper should have a clear description of what the project is to accomplish. Also welcome are citations of papers to read, a schedule of milestones, questions that need to be answered, and people (besides Karplus) who will be important information resources.

The proposal should be thought of as the first draft of the final report, as you will reuse most of the material in this proposal in the introduction for the final report. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
